    Coupe at VIR

Here's a photo my brother took of the coupe at VIR in the climbing esses. It was the SVT Superfest hosted by SVT Cobra Mustang Club, Track Club USA, and SVT Owners Assoc. Three days on the full course. Perfect weather. Ton of seat time. Ford was there with a couple of the new GT500s and a Focus RS giving charity rides for the Susan Komen Foundation. They also brought 4 trailers with cars for show and the racing parts rig. Great venue, great people. Next year is promising to be bigger as it's the 20th anniversary of SVT.

Great photo Pat......VIR rocks, and driving a Coupe there must be pretty close to heaven on a racetrack.

It's absolutely fabulous. It takes me a little over 13 hours to drive down but it's worth it. My brother is putting together the photos he took and I'll post a couple more.

Hey Pat, are you going to SAAC-37 at Watkins Glen next weekend? Much closer to home and for sure worth the trip! Track time happens on Thursday and Friday AM, and the vintage racecars will test/tune in the afternoons. Saturday is the vintage race and concours event.

No, but I may be going to WG with a few of the local guys later this year. Work is too busy for me to take off again. I was at SAAC 36 last year at VIR. Lots of interesting cars and people. It was run in conjunction with the SVT Superfest. I talked with Pete Brock there (he signed the dash) and he gave me some advice regarding the aerodynamics on the car. Pretty cool.
