Lesson learned
I’m using solenoids to open my doors. I made a cut and then fit the inside door panel over and over. I got the panel just where I wanted it and closed the door. I’ve been using the buttons on the dash to open the doors for months so I wasn’t worried. I hit the button and the door didn’t open. I hit it again and the solinoid didn’t fire. It was then that I discovered that in fitting the panel, I had brushed the panel against the lock tab. The door was closed and locked, the fuse blown and my fingers are short and fat. I used the 2 screwdriver poking solution, drilled the tab and race wired the lock tab. Crisis averted.

Yes, I love Technology
Even the most secure and reliable systems are likely to have a back door somewhere, usually added after the first snafu.

I plan to use solenoids as well, but I will install a pull strap hidden somewhere just in case. I will even have a pull strap somewhere outside (Rear wheel well or inside gas filler) so I can get in with a dead battery.

I somehow managed to lock the doors shut the first like 3 times I installed them...various issues with the lock/latch/window mechanisms that caused them to get stuck. I've gotten pretty good at creatively breaking into my own car at this point.
