Sounds like your belt is too loose. Check with March Tech Support for belt tension specs.

Follow the link to the March Performance Instruction Sheet for Kit #30420, which I believe is the setup you are describing.
    30420_instructions.pdf (marchperformance.com)
Of particular note on Page 13, Fig 14 & Tip: 14-a is how to check the tightness on the belt. Based on my Coupe Build which is the same configuration, the belt has to be fairly tight.
    Hope this helps.

    OK, w/o anything else to go on;
    Are all pulleys in alignment?
    How old is the belt?
    Has the belt been overheated?
Sometimes slippage can "polish" the belt, making slick spots prone to making the belt squeal.
Have you changed the belt, if so does the squeal persist?

    bil1024,
Can you post a picture of your serpentine setup?
I just spent considerable time switching to a March system and getting it the way I wanted. It does work well.

Pulleys look to me to be in alignment
    New belt, not overheated
I think I will call March to see if they can help to, the belt Summit recommended was way to long also someone is saying the Summit chrome alternator may be an issue

Is the squeal continuous or only when you turn the steering wheel?

In my case, I had several different squeals. One occurred only when I turned the steering wheel. As it turned out, I had a lower ball joint that was completely dry. Once it was greased that went away.

Also, I used a Duralast belt. Called March and they said these are too rigid and to use Dayco or Continental(?)

Subsequently, I used a little belt treatment and it helped.

Bob happens all the time, using continental belt. Going to clean up everything today and see as I did have a slight coolant leak by the belt, so first step

Bill, I would put a long straight edge on the crank pulley and see if one of the accessories is slightly out of alignment. The first time I started my 302 I thought the pulleys were pretty well aligned, and I have a good eye for things like that. The thing let out a squeal unlike anything I'd ever heard. A very thin washer to adjust the power steering pump solved the problem. Hope this helps.
