Absolutely nuts! I can't decide on my favourite interior any more; this car is going to be amazing.

Gene, how many jobs do I need to keep up with all of these upgrades?

    Thanks man,
Wich upgrade, the trim ring was made out of scrap, and the console, I used sticks, cardboard, and fiberglass. But ya, I had to pay money for the electronics. Thanks again, I'm happy with how it's turning out.

    WOW.

Just finished a week long marathon from the first video. This project may not be going as fast as you'd hoped but she's gonna be absolutely stunning when you are done.

As I watched the last few videos when you were fabricating the new console and installing components for a very high end sound system and all the other toys you have crammed in there I remember you saying something about leaving the stock interior as it came from FFR. With the dash vinyl bubbling and the heavily modified center console, you might as well go for it now with a high end interior and a lot of sound deadening to match the caliber of the rest of the car.

I must admit that I watched in horror LOL as you laid down hundreds of miles of wiring and stuffed it into every nook and cranny of the car. Boy how I long for another completely analog car with the only thing electronic being the stereo.... Hmmmm probably showing my age now LOL

    Well done sir.

Very cool Gene! I can hear the excitment in your voice. You're getting so close. You just went bye me like I was standing still. Well, I am standing still. Too much work and not enough play for me. Your build is over the top! Can't wait to see a video of you, with a big smile, cruising that baby down the road.
Keep going man! I'm rite behind you.

    Gene;

nice job, great video on the final stages before body goes on. One question though. those inner fender panels that you install on the rear, will they not get in the way when trying to install the body. Also the front close out panels just under the windshield area too.

keep up the good work. looking forward to see the body on.

Only the ones that are right in front of the rear tire are in the way. I have them set up to come on and off with bolts, that way I can get in there and service things. But remember I installed those after I put the body on for the first time. The fact that I had everything trimmed and set up prior let me have all the other on with no problem. The body rested on them just like it was meant to be.

Gene look at it this way. You are building a one of a kind super car where every detail is a hand built piece of art.

It's worth the time. As every GTM driver will tell you the compliments you will get don't stop. It's a really fun car to own.

I'm looking to be done in the spring too

I hope for the end so bad, but still have not even come close to it, as I plan things in my head. I just noticed, I'm at 3 years now. I remember when I ordered the kit I was thinking I would have the body done in 6 months, and the chasis done in 6 months, and that I would spend zero time on the interior.

Then the Project Enhancement Brothers showed up at your door to help you with the build.

I had them show up on a project I did once, when they asked what time frame I was looking at, the one brother, I believe his name was Fricken Enhancement, laugh and said, Here’s Your Sign

Once you run them off, you’ll get done, and on the road before you know it, just keep plugging away, and just remember, you are building an eye opening, jaw dropping supercar

Wow, what a sweet job! I vote for leaving the license plate intact, and making it easily removed. I'm not sure if it's legal to drill into your license plate,
but for what it's worth, I think it will look cleaner than having a hole there!

Congrats Gene, that body looks straight, and wave free!

    Thanks Tino,
your right, it is a no,no, to deface the plate. I think I can get away with the camera on the top, but the bottom hole I think would be too noticeable. So I may end up making it removable.
I want to make a little stash for my tie downs and toe hooks, and always have them in the car, I could even have a wrench stored also to use for the plate removal.

It may be too late, but you could hinge the plate like old school 60's cars. That way you don't have to remove it. I suppose it could rattle, not good.

I wouldn't be opposed to such an idea, but not at this stage. That would be something I would do at the bodywork stage. I would have hidden the hinge.

And, for sure, ZERO rattles. I won't have it.

I think I have a new complete rear hatch release cable that I'm not going to use. You pay for the shipping and you can have it.
    Let me know.

WAIT! Forget the shipping. Someone on the forum sent me a set of wheel spacers for my rear wheels and never accepted any payment. Now I'm going to return the favor to the GTM gang.
Just PM me your address and I'll send it to you, no problem.

Thanks Shawn, you will be surprised to find how long the rest of it will drag out, lol, I'm good at that. I still have lots to do to finish, and I have a feeling the videos will continue after the build portion.

Yah, that looks nice. I am going to do a box above the battery. It will be small, but we'll see.
