    427 Dash Gauge Layout

I ordered the 427 gauge layout for my 289 build and received it albeit on POL. On each end is a little 2" piece that is angled slightly. I am not sure what to do with this. Do I cut it off? Also, should I cover the dash before bending or after? I will try to attach two pictures to show the piece I am referring to. As always, Thanks

It looks to me like they've added a bit of aluminum to use for mounting once you shape the main dash. It may not be completely clear, but you can see how the dash is shaped here:

Mine is the FFR padded dash, so it came pre-shaped as you see it. I'd recommend covering before bending so you can add weight to the covering once glued on to be sure it fully adheres to the metal. I would leave the two "tabs" on the ends uncovered and just paint black or whatever color your dash will be covered in.

I kept the end tabs on. Just had to reshape it to be mounted behind the door hinge bracket. Here is a screenshot from a video I made. hopefully you could tell what I did.
