    Side exhaust question

I love the 289 body shape. But I ordered a MKIV because the only quiet pipe options that are still available are from Gas-n. I am not competent enough to weld something myself.

Here's a question for all y'alls: I assume that I can just make a cut on the side of the 289 body and use 427 headers+exhaust? I know it's not a correct look, but I just want to check that it's as simple as that.

    Thanks.

Mk4 and 289 chassis are the same so the 427 pipes should work.

I heard Bob Boig's products would be available through Tubular Automotive. Assume they would continue the 289 pipe production as well?

If you want the pipes to look the same, a muffler shop should be able to modify and weld you side pipes up with baffles. You can purchase muffler baffles online. Not going to work as well as the gas'n pipes.
