    Front suspension/tie rod end question

    Hi All,

C6 front suspension fits like a glove. But I have a question about the tie rod end.

I don't see in the manual mentioning about installing the tie rod end hardware. The ones from FFR (crown-nut and hair pin) looks a bit sketchy compared to the donor Corvette's fat nut/washer. And the nut from donor didn't fit. I guess my question is, should I replace it with a nut+washer or am I missing something here?

My C-4 uses a flat washer and a castellated nut, secured with a cotter pin.

I suppose this will work then. Had me worried I was doing it wrong. Although, it looks like the nut/pin could break easily.

The castle nut/pin has been industry standard for decades. The washer is kind-of optional but does position the castle nut for optimum fit with the cotter pin.
