    AC interior heater hose connections

Has anyone run into this problem when trying to connect the heater hoses from the bulkhead connections to the heater core. The nipples are too close and are to far out of alignment on the upper one to get a hose on without kinking it. I looked for shorter fittings but couldn't find any and it doesn't seem to want to bend, I tried.

I mounted the manifold lower in the footbox, so my hoses are longer and have enough length to bend smoothly. Sorry, can't find a photo. If I remember, I'll post one tomorrow.

I thought of that but decided against it. Too late now unless I get a new firewall or put some kind of patch over the holes I already drilled. I didn't look at the fittings before hand. My mistake. Why do they make them so long? I could cut them but then no barb unless I had a ring welded around. Another problem to solve.

I'm stupid! I put mixed up where the upper heater hose fitting and the large AC fitting go on the bulkhead. I put them in the it correct positions and bent the heater hose pipes slightly and now it's ok.

That happens sometimes when I skip reading all the directions after being a tech for all those years. You'd think I'd learn by now.

Glad it was an easy fix! My engineering arrogance often leads me to skip reading directions too, with the same results as you suffered. Good to see I'm not the only dumb s*** in the crowd.
