    Exhaust fitment issues

Are the exhaust pipes that attach to the exhaust manifolds supposed to be different? The two that I have are about two inches different in length and appear to have a slightly different bend. The longer of the two seems to fit OK with the 7/8" spacer on the drivers side. The shorter pipe does not seem to fit either side without hitting the frame. Am I missing something or did I receive the wrong parts?

    Thanks

The down pipes are going to be different between engines and side to side. They are also designed for the headers recommended.

I have a 5.7 Hemi and I am using the recommended BBK headers. There is a very different bend to the two sides but they both end up in the same place when the spacer is used on the driver's side.

You may have gotten the wrong down pipes.

I assume you got the Hooker Blackheart exhaust manifolds like I did for my LS3 with the LS install kit. I had the same problem when I installed them but both of mine were the same length. I cut mine to have welded to the pipes in the front of my cats though still had to have about 5/8" of pipe welded in between the two pipes so the cats weren't against the floor. Try using 2 spacers on the short one. You may have to buy more exhaust gaskets because I only got 2 with mine. There is a right and a left as the flanges are welded on at opposite angles.

Did you do the full inventory? I received three total and only used two. I think the ones with two different sizes is sourced as one kit, so they send a third that fits.

I am using the Factory five supplied Hooker manifolds and after some adjustments to the trans mount the drivers side seems to fit better but the passenger side is still not fitting. I am working with Factory Five tech support and will see what they come up with.
