Congratulations Tom Coon & Jeff Awender: 2011 WERC Podium Finish!

FFR Challenge Series Drivers Tom Coon and Jeff Awender
Podium Finish in Western Endurance Racing Championship Series!!

Congratulations to FFR Challenge Series team owner Dr. Tom Coon and co-driver Dr. Jeff Awender on their 3rd place finish in E1 Class in the Western Endurance Racing Championship (WERC)! Tom Coon is the first Challenge Series team owner to take on the full season of the WERC, and in his first attempt, scores an impressive 3rd place for the season.

Dr. Tom Coon, a renowned knee surgeon by profession, and Challenge Series Co-driver Dr. Jeff Awender, an accomplished chiropractor and owner of his own private practice, paired up to form Team Kneeds Adjustment earlier this year (no sense of humor there), and competed in every event in the 2011 season. The team faced an impressive field of E1 competitors this year, and endured the six hour race at the 25 to secure the podium finish!! BIG congratulations to Tom and Jeff on their impressive accomplishment!

    Tom and Jeff
you guys rock. What an impresive performance. It was my honor being next to you guys for the event. I hear Dave Riha really helped the guys also by running the car in practice and laying down som incredable laps. This gave Jeff something to shoot for, and show just good the car was. Their car prep was awsome I don't think the hood was off it for the whole time it was at the event.

Thanks for the kudos Karen! Many thanks to co-driver Jeff Awender for a great season. I would also like to thank co-drivers Robert Walter and John George for their excellent driving in the 6 hour event. It was by no means an easy task to keep the car on track and out of trouble in the 87 car field of vastly varying classes. Absent a very unfair black flag for sound 2 hours prior to the advertised penalty time we would have finished 2nd in class by a large margin. Needless to say, I'm very proud of our team! We look forward to a great season next year.
