    Replacement shocks, Which ones?

Anyone know what the COMPRESSED / EXTENDED HEIGHT measurements are for the shocks?
    What spring weights?

I'm looking at the QA1 or Viking double adjustable and need some measurements if anyone has that info.

    Thank you

I don't know a lot about Viking shocks.

    I went with QA1

    * Front = QA1 DD403 Proma Star Double Adjustable coil over shocks with 9" long 300# springs
    * Rear = QA1 DS601 Proma Star single Adjustable coil over shocks with 12" long 300# springs

For the front DD403 shocks you'll also need the following:

    https://www.summitracing.com/parts/qa1-9018-113
https://www.summitracing.com/search/...yword=qa1-bc02 I used the shorter bump stop on the front.

I really like the set up I have now with the QA1 shocks and the spring rates.

That second summit link isn't working for me. What is it supposed to be?

QAI shocks unlike Koni can be inverted so the adjustment knobs are in the engine compartment verses having to crawl under the car always. Much nicer. The links I sent are needed to invert the QA1 in the front, sorry I didn't note that sooner.

Curious why you went single adjustable in the rear instead of double?

With these cars being so light in the rear and with me going with a little stiffer spring (300# vs. 250# from FFR) there was little advantage to having the rebound adjustment in the rear so that is why I only went with single adjustable (compression only). Just personal preference.

Jim, I sent you a PM about your rear 250 lb springs.
I checked mine they are 300 lb.

FWIW, my 33 delivered Aug 22 came with 250 lb springs in the rear and 400 lb springs in the front.

I'm still running the original non-adjustable shocks, albeit with stiffer springs (now up to 800/450) - but I hear a lot from folks saying the adjustable ones will be "so much nicer". I know almost nothing about shocks, so curious what everyone's experience is?

In what way are better shocks better, and would they still be better with my stiffer springs? Are they better on road or track or both? I'm sure there is more control, and obviously adjustability, but I'm not sure what the end result of that actually is?
