    California SPCNS title to NJ

Looking at a MKIII for sale in CA.
Seller states build was completed in 2009 and has a CA SPCNS (Special Construction)

What kind of hoops might I have to jump through to get an NJ title If I buy this car?

    Thanks,
    Randy

Is there a year listed on the title, as some SB100 titled cars do not list a year, this can cause undue delays at the NJ DMV office. A simple letter from the California MVS explaining their process can eliminate this delay. Otherwise, it's just like any other out of state title swap. I used to take a picture of the CA state issued VIN/SB-100 label and add that to the paperwork, since the basic structure is already in the NJ database, you should not have any issues in that regard either.
