    What starter to use?

Been prepping the engine to drop into the Coupe for an initial fit check. The instructions call for using the GR3Z-11002-A starter for 2016 - 2022 mustangs. Is this what everyone is using? Are there any other starters that folks are using instead. Been contemplating using a high-torque min starter, but not if it is really needed/necessary.

I used the Ford Performance M-11000-C50 starter in both of my Coyote builds. Fits and works perfectly. This is the one FF used to list on their Coyote installation instructions. Now see they are listing the GR3Z-11002-A you reference. Zooming in on the picture of the GR3Z-11002-A Tasco parts has on their website, looks like the same Ford part numbers as on the M-11000-C50's I received several years ago. Just newer revisions. Either should work. They are already high-torque mini starters and start the Coyote with ease.

I got the same starter Paul referenced above.... but note.... the correct starter depends on if you have an auto trans vs manual. Paul's was an Auto.... which I bought not knowing I needed a different one for my Manual trans. So, Summit Racing took it back and I got the correct "manual trans" starter.

Sorry, no. Both of my Coyote builds were manual transmissions. TKO (pre TKX) in the 20th Anniversary Roadster. T56 in my Coupe. The starter(s) I referenced are for a manual transmission Coyote setup and work perfectly. The Coupe as late as a long cruise a couple of days ago. I'm aware an automatic trans setup with a Coyote has differences. But I have no experience with that. My recent truck build was an automatic, but an LS3 and 4L65E trans. Totally different ball game.
