Question about Holly Carb fuel Filter

I have the holley carb on my 427 and it has the brass filters. Any experience that they work or do not work? Now is a good time to do a different filter before I start it up in a couple months.

Well, Holley has an opinion about this topic: https://www.holley.com/blog/post/how...a_fuel_filter/

Maybe that will answer the question.

I would like to treat my gas pedal as a binary operator. It would be nice to get the cooperation of everyone in front of me.

Ya, that was all I could see. Sounds like Holley does not want to admit that maybe it was a great idea that in reality, when it got into production had some short comings, so spend another $100.00 to fix the problem we designed in! The seem to be reasonable to replace so maybe I will just keep a couple on hand and see how it goes. BPE ran a fuel hose across the front of the engine with out securing, so it can impact the pulley pretty easy, I will just catch that with a clamp and go on my way.

Well, in all my years, I have always tossed the copper/brass fuel filter and gone with an external one. It just makes sense to me. More surface area in the filter means it can filter longer and the fuel pump does not have to work as hard.
