    Talking SB100 completed

Woohoo! Just got the plates for my 33. The process actually wasn't too bad. CHP loved the car and the BAR smog referee practically wet his pants. She's a great driver now I just need to finish the bodywork and get that shiny new paint applied!

Nice going Tom. It is a good feeling when you pass the "big exam", so to speak, and your car is now part of the long-term legal ones. Hope to see you and your hot rod in July. Attached are a couple pics taken last July while visiting the Culinary School in the Napa area.

    Tom,

What colors are you going with?

Thanks, guys. I am in need of some good car mojo after recent headaches with my challenge car upgrade. Paint plans are for two tone metallic lime green (2010 camaro color) on the bottom and silver on top. I am also planning to do the challenge style engine upgrade with trick flow 170cc heads (picked up a set on eBay for cheap). Because it's a street car (and I'm trying to be frugal) am sticking with the stock cam and have a ported 93cobra gt40 intake. It's all painted up with the color scheme, I'll try to post pics tomorrow. My stock "challenge " motor in the car now dyno's at 220 to the rear wheels, looking for about 300 with the new heads, intake, and a dyno tuned computer. Should be fun!

so here's the current look, still needing paint and the side panels. Plan is for two tone green on the bottom and silver on the top, color demonstrated on the GT 40 intake I have prepared to go on the upgraded engine package. Now I just need to find time to get it all together!

Looking good! I'm anxious to hear how those Kuhmo's do for you. My Nittos wore out quick on the front so I'm looking at options. Seems like those and the Hankook RS3s are similar.

These are kumho ecsta xs. I have had the same tire on my corvette z06 for several years with great results. Sticky, decent in the rain, good wear. And they look really cool!
