    Hi Patrick!

I am sooooooo disappointed that I missed you!!! It was quite a weekend, and I really wish I would have seen you at Willow Springs! I had some things come up late last week, and I really thought I wasn't going to make it up there at all...After talking to Steve, Don, Bill and the guys on Friday evening though, I decided to take a run up for at least a half day...I knew John, Keith, and a whole bunch of our FFR friends would be there as well, so I did the 4:30 AM run to the desert, and with Steve, Bill, Oz and everyone's help, I got unloaded and through tech just in time to make the driver's meeting....I did two really fun sessions with the guys, and had to load the Coupe up by 1:30, as I had to meet Bill and Norma at the Riverside Museum at 4:00 PM....The Coupe is now "resting" in its new home at the museum.....Next event for the #28 Coupe will be with Pete Brock and the Coupe Reunion on August 14-18 at Laguna Seca. I hope you are well!!!!

That happens a lot. Karen is so fast that if you blink she's "GONE"

I'm not getting gray, I'm adding chrome....

“Under-steer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and over-steer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.”
-- Jacques Schnauzee "World Famous Racecar Driver"

"If you can make black marks on a straight from the time you turn out of a corner until the braking point of the next turn, then you have enough horsepower."--Mark Donohue

The Challenge Series record is held by Robert Walter at 136.5 (225 hp, 273 rear gear, stock Mustang/Lincoln brakes, Toyos).....My best time is a 132.3 in the Coupe (286 hp, 327 gears, Wilwoods front, stock Mustang rear brakes, very used (25 Hours used) Kumho tires)....A Coupe fully dialed in with good HP and a nice set up should easily turn in the mid-high 20's.

    Thanks,

Being a broken down, beat up, tired old racer I am just trying to get a comparison to when I was racing my DSR. The last time I raced at Willow Springs I set the track record at 1:18.8 and held it for 4 laps until my buddy went in the 1:16’s.
