    Tremec 3550 5-Speed Mid-Shift?

Does anyone know if the Tremec 3550 5-speed (part# M-7003-R58C) can be converted to a mid-shift to move the shifter forward on the transmission tunnel? I've seen places online claiming it is a TKO 600... is this true? Would substituting a TKO 500/600 for this change the installation with a coyote?

    Yes,

You can use a 3550, which this is below, or the newer 600.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Would a TKO 500 work? The coyote is only rated at 390 ft/lbs so that would be well under the max rating. It just seems like the 600 would be overkill if I didn't have plans to increase the output anytime soon.

Any of the TKO'S would be fine, the newer models shift much better than the older 3550's.
