    93 5.0 oilpan question.

I am rebuilding the 5.0 I got out of my 1993 mustang donor. I bought a high volume oilpump and the stock pan will not work. I saw a Ford racing oilpan that looks similar and was wondering if that would work for my 33 5.0 and P/S. Does anyone know if this pan will accept an H/V pump and the Electric P/S? Thanks.

You might want to do some research before you switch to a high volume pump. There are many stories of the pumps extra force stripping the gear off the distributor. Most 5.0s do not need a high volume pump. Stick with a stock replacement. If I remember right your donor had very low miles. Your stock pump should not need to be replaced. They last a very long time. Maybe longer than the engine.
Never heard of a high volume pump needing a different pan.

10/4 Thanks Mike. NAPA said they would swap it out for a stock pump.
