They are perfect IMO. I can lock them up if needed but easy to modulate. I have slight front bias as I prefer.

I like the looks but I had to make a special tow hook since it covers the frame where I normally tied it down in my trailer. I use the holes in the front LCA's to tie down the front.

Would you mind posting a picture of how and where you incorporated your tow hook? That's on my to do list.

    Thanks!

FYI... I just ordered some faux carbon fiber badges off ebay... You can select what letter/numbers you want (two 8's and one 1 were just a few bucks).

Since I got the aero kit, and a set of carbon fiber scuff plates from Craig for the hood pins, I wanted to keep the theme going!

What were your search words for that?
"Carbon fiber badges" doesn't seem to give me what you mention.

Ok these do come up on the search "carbon fiber badges".
I'll think about it, but would look nice on mine as well!

here is 2 photos. I used a S/S U-bolt in the last tube and reinforced it with a plate to the trans mounting plate. It seems to work good so far. I wrapped the tube with a high grade fuel line to black it out. I pull the car in my trailer with an electric winch.

I had a great day at the NOPI Nationals. Weather was perfect Sunday. The crowd loved the 818. I answered questions, handed out info and DVD's all day. NOPI used the car in a professional photo shoot with the NOPI girls. Can you say Wow! Honest Marsha I only looked and did not touch. LOL. I was fortunate to take first place in the Street Kit car division. Thanks to FFR, VCP, Huegenics, Forum members and my lovely wife Marsha.

I read through all 11 pages and didn't find or see the details on wheels, tires, offsets. Imho your wheels fit perfectly.

Would you mind sharing the details?

+1 on the congrats, it's amazing how low the car appears, your kneeling and leaning forward and still your head is above the windshield.

They are MB boost wheels from Discount tire. 18x7.5 with 48mm backspacing. I used 10 mm spacers front and back. Tires are Kumho ecsta ast 215/35 18 front and 225/40 18 back. . This is all the info I have. I hope this helps.

Had my own Factory Five display at the Hot Rods for Heroes show today in Gainesville.FL. I handed out FFR DVD's and 818 info. Also took best paint trophy with my 33. My wife drove the 33 to the show. I might not get it back. LOL.

    Nice looking collection you've got.

Can you post a picture of the fender/door/windhshield junction? My doors leave a large gap at the junction at the top just in front of the mirror.

No I do not have a picture right now. I took the metal tube from FFR and cut it in 2. Then cut the rubber hose to connect everything. You have to slant cut the rubber hose at the body so it fits nice. Next time I have the body off I'll take some photos.

That helps me visualize, thanks. I'll see what I can come up with. Any leaks where the tube was cut and doesn't have a bead?

Thanks for the pics. Mine don't look like that. I'm amazed your fender has a decent lip on the back side. I completely trimmed mine and the door still hits it when its open only about 12". The points on my hood are longer and pointier too. I also have a big open space there. I'll have to post pics later.

Well I have been neglecting my 818 lately. I finally got off my duff and had it weighed. It came to 2060 with a full tank of gas in it, I am happy with that considering the radio, carpet and sound and heat material I added to the kit. Next is send off paper work to get title. This car will be for sale once the top shows up and is installed. I have to make room for my coupe build and some customer builds I have coming up. The car will be sold for 25 K firm . This is with the top and all the goodies I installed.
