WOW! I like the vents without the bezels. What's the emblem on the butt? More photos as you get it completed, please, please.

I am just using the S/S screws. The rakes are there. Hard to see in that photo. You can see them earlier in my thread.

Fantastic color! Something about this car makes orange tones work so well on it.

Looks like the strakes are there, yes?

Personally, I'm really digging the exposed fastener look. The R-car doesn't use fasteners on the rear vents, I think they just used either silicone or epoxy - and it's been driven hard at speed (including some off-track agricultural excursions).

Yeah... there they are. Head on with two in front of the jackstands. Just looked completely open at first. I kinda like the empty look, but I know they help keep laminar flow to be effective.

I did the mounting and gaping. There are 2 things I do not do. 1 is sanding and 2 is painting. I do not care to do either one. I leave that up to Chris at Huegenics.

Here it is almost done. Still have a few odds and ends to finish up. By the way Wayne this thing runs so good after your dyno tune. Thanks again VCP. The car after primer was painted black on the humps and center of front hood. the rest of the car was then painted white. Then several layers of gold flake then tangerine candy, more small flake the clear. Then wet sanded and buffed out. It is awesome in the sun. The humps and hood change color depending on the sun or shade. Thanks again to Huegenics for their paintwork and FFR for the great kit. Also all of you on the forum for your kind words and help. I hope I was a help to some as well.

Looks great Tom!!!! Those wheels (color) accent the body color very well. The wing you used works well with the car.

I really like the wing and the side mirrors!

In your last pic it looks like you notched the inside top of the door panel around the dash. I haven't yet put those top two screws in mine that locks that in place yet, as my door cards haven't arrived yet (tracking shows today though) and I want to see how that area all comes together first. I was planning on pushing the top of the door panels outwards to align the body line of the door with the body line of the fender, the manual does not provide any specifics. This requires further trimming of the return lip of the fenders. Can you provide me some guidance?

I had to trim the doors to clear the dash on the sides. Also I do not care for the way the door panels were suppose to go on. I modified them a lot. I am not ready to install them yet but I'll post pics when I do.

I finished up the rear of the car. Also finished the drivers side door panel. I am not totally happy with the result but it was the best I could do. I wanted to match some of the aluminum trim in the interior. All that I have left is passenger door panel, hidden radio antenna, title, tag and I am all ready to go.

Love your rear end . . . er, did I just say that? I like the cut-outs and the FFR and 818 emblems. It's nice to see how the door panel fits. The square front inside corner looks strange, eh? Very nice work.

I was not happy with my drivers door panel still. I decided to move my aluminum trim under the top of the door. I still wanted it on the inside to match the other trim in the interior. I think it looks better now. The S/S fasteners match the rest of the outside of the body now for a cleaner look, IMO. If I had to do it again I would come up with something different for sure. Also check your rear wheel liner and make sure it clears your brake line on suspension travel. I had to clearance mine. Pics to follow.

Either way looks good, I personal liked the piece on top, but would have made it black to match panel. It all still looks killer. I mounted my plastic type drivers door panel today. I posted a video, check it out. I am pretty happy with the panels. I will prob have them covered at some point but the look pretty good as is.

I am finally done with the kit part now. I put about 10 miles on it today around the neighborhood. It is a little squirrelly above 90. Not sure what is going on. I need to check the alignment . I have to get it titled, tag and insured. Hopefully after NOPI this weekend. Weather is kind of iffy for Sat. I have a weatherproof cover. Here is some more photos.

I really like the darker tinted humps and vente in the sunlight!

You mind sharing your wheel/tire specs (width/diameter/offset, etc...) and clearance/rubbing issues (or lack there-of).

Also, any scraping with the splitter on the road? Have fun at NOPI...

    Thanks,

    Lee
