The kit was bought in 2007, I spent the next 3 years building this machine, and it was a lot of fun!. Factory Five chassis is one of the best in the industry compared to Superformane. Superformance cobras are going for 55k plus without drive tran. This cobra has a substantial drive tran backing the best chassis and body.
The interior is completely custom and sound proofed with Dyno mat, as well as the trunk. No expense was spared on the build, every upgrade was put into it, from the duel Roll bars, the larger foot box (thinker sheet metal) down to the Independent rear end and every part is NEW.
The Body was painted by Automotive Enterprises, they are the best in fiberglass work in the Bay Area. The body was stress relieved ( this stops spider webbing and cracking). The underside of the body is coated to stop rock dings. Factory Five Bodies are not part of the structure of the vehicle so the body will not crack during torque loads, cornering, ect.. The Frame is powder Coated black. You will notice the car is a very bright red out of sun, in the sun it has a little orange to it. The Paint is from Enzo Ferrari
I originally built the car to autocross and enjoy on the weekends. I have not raced or Autocross the car and only put on 600 miles to work out the kinks. I have a new interest in mind so I need to make room for the next project!
