Here is Priest aka Hazelwwp and His son Tim aka timmy318, '33 Hot Rod, which won best in show.

Dave Smith took it out for a spin. When he came back he said he really liked it a lot, talking about how well it handled and how the engine performed (Coyote).

Jeff from Tampa Rootbeer Roadster. This car really looks like rootbeer, the color depth is amazing!

There was 2 GTMs at the show. The Lime Green one was there from Florida I believe, I tried to get some pics of it, but too many people around it, maybe somebody has some good shot of that one.

This Brown colored one was interesting, very nice metallic paint, when looking at it just right a burgundy color came though, very cool!

This is Performance Automotive's '33 Hot Rod.

What's really cool is on the rear trunk lid on the bottom right corner, when you look at it just right you can see Performance Automotive, which albeit most people didn't catch. One of the guys from PA said "You catch that" I said "yeah pretty sneaky"...lol

I was about 10 feet to right rear when they fired it up, tell you what this car sounded awesome! real deep throaty!

Here is a video taken by Eldrik, thanks by the way of Dave Smith and timmy318 doing a bunch of donuts. This was near the end of the event.

WOW, there are a lot of sexy beasts in this thread! Looks like there was a great turnout for the event, and I suspect a whole lot of fun. Thanks for passing along the pictures. That 363 looks very happy in its new home! How many tires did Dave end up burning through? HA!

    Regards,

I really enjoyed the cruise in. I have been waiting for an event like this to confirm these cars are worthy of what I have been planning for a long time. Now that I have seen many fine examples together, I am really stoked about my build. Thanks go to Dave for making this happen, and so close to my home.

Guys, I had a blast! It was cool seeing alot of folks I havent seen since we did the two-guys garage thing a few years back. We've gotta get down there more often for sure. I had to leave the same day and get back home but I only needed one day in the sun to get me stoked for Spring! You guys have such great weather down there this time of year! I'll be writing up a post for our website and facebook page, but just wanted to say thanks to everyone for coming out! Dave

Dave, it was a great day for all of us. Thanks for coming down and bringing the big rig full of goodies! I got a snootful of build ideas, and improvements to make to my Mk III. Not to mention even more enthusiasm for the 818. It was a blast to see you again; thanks for everything!

John, it was indeed a fun, yet hectic day. I saw you pull in with your Roadster, yet never got around to saying hello. It's been a long time. Thanks to all for making it a great event! We had an unbelievable turnout for barely two weeks of forum notice/posting. The day was chilly to start, but my ride home at 74 degrees was great. I really need to drive my car more, but work is very demanding.

Thanks again everyone for making it a great day/event!

Thanks Dave Smith for putting up the winners, I could only remember the Best in Show.......lol

Thanks Cape for putting names with the cars.

I hope some more pictures get uploaded

Speaking of a nice day, for the most part not a cloud in the sky, but the sun was sure bright. I came home with a sunburn on my face, my nose got blistered.....OUCH! I haven't had a sunburn like that in probably 30yr.s.........lol, but it was worth it, just have to remember next time to put the sunscreen on....duh!

It was a super day all around. Some really great looking cars and even more importantly a fairly significant number of people who were there to gather information about building one of the models.

Have to give credit where credit is due - earlier in one of the posts it listed my engine as a carbed 347 - not the case. Thanks to some great advice I am using a Powerjection III FI set-up and could not be happier with it. It does look like a Holley when viewed from the left side so there has always been a bit of confusion.

Also have to say how great it is to be a part of the FF fraternity

I was on the Gulf Coast and would have loved to have stopped by but family obligations are always first. Looks like a great turnout.

Really cool to see what I know to be some strong running, hard charging, historically significant FFRs in attendance! Specifically, I already knew that JOhn P would be there with his Mk3 showing that a track car can also be a beauty queen but am pleasantly surprised to see Evan's silver/black Mk1 and McIlvanie's matte finish seafoam green "greeen1" as well (you gotta' see this car and driver corner so hard that it pulls the inside front wheel on exit!). I do love me some well used real live race cars

    Cheers,
    Jeff

Same here Mark. It was a real quickie trip---Naples to Sarasota to West Palm---less than 72 hours in the state. You don't have any trade shows in Indy this year do you? My offer for dinner still stands
