    Graduation for FFR7881

    All,

We are done with 7881! We took the car to the Texas Cobra meet this past weekend in San Marcos and put the first 200 miles on the car without any major issues. The weather was perfect and all the cars looked great.

The kit was delivered 8/22/2012 and officially registered 4/3. Still have a few kinks to work out but it has done very well so far.

Thanks for the help along the way, this site is a great resource.

    Details:
    MK4 Complete Kit
302 EFI, Edelbrock heads, 24lb injectors with matching MAF, Cobra intake.
    T5 with hydraulic Clutch
Hydroboost brakes and power steering with cooler
Whitby AC and Heat with hidden controls
    Relocated Shifter and E-brake
    Lowered 1.5" roll bars
Trunk mounted stereo with bluetooth and direct connect audio
Full Viper 5704 security system with remote start

We took advantage of the las year sale on options:
    Leather seats
    Wind Wings,
    Sunvisors
    Bumperettes
    Floormats
    SS Pipes
    4 into 4 headers
    Dual Rollbars
    and more..

Paint is Brittany Blue and done at Mastercraft Body works in Ovilla.

    Tyler,
The car looks great and I love the pictures.
We are glad you had a good time. I'm sorry I missed meeting you. Maybe next year.

    Looks great...love the color.

Can you post up a shot with a better view of the power steering pump and a/c compressor? I have a/c and am going to retro-fit power steering. Just want to see how your setup is mounted.

Here are some more photos, including one of the PS and AC set up.

Great looking car. A couple of questions:

    1. Paint. How many coats primer, base and clear? It is stunning.

    2. Air Conditioning: how well does it work? Could you post any tips on installation?

Love the car, the straight forward look of keeping it simple in the cockpit.

    Thanks,

    Carl

Very nice build but the picture you will cherish in years to come is the one with your father..
Those moments you just can't put a price on..
    Best of luck!

Congratulations Tyler. Great job. You took delivery of yours a few months before I ordered mine. Unfortunately life took me away from my build the past year and a half but I am hoping to get back to it this summer. It's builds like this that inspire me to get'er done. Thank you. Enjoy your time with her, and your Dad

    Carl,

I haven't heard back from my paint guy, but will try to get an answer for you. The A/C is not charged currently, still a to do list item. Will update as soon as I get it done.

Thanks for all the compliments guys!

    Tyler,

Saw the car in San Marcos...it is stunning in that color.

How is the AC working out?
