    Mendeola shifter cable

Yesterday my shifter cables came loose where they run by the engine. As expected they found their way to the header. They both got damaged. I was able to do a quick fix on them to get home but both of them need to be replaced. Can any of you who have easy access to your cables tell me what are the part numbers stamped/printed on the cables?

I had the exact same thing happen with one of my cables. I went to order a new one from Toyota and each cable is over $300. I sent my damaged cable off to California push pull and they made me a new one for $80. Works like a charm.

In my opinion the cables that come with the kit are too long.

The company to go to is:

    Control Cables
    Sante Fe Springs, CA
    562-949-0455
    www.controlcables.com

Open the on-line catalog 3rd page for ordering instructions.

Part number is 814LTT-2-cable length with "HP inner" These are High temp cables with a low friction inner.

Kempo, I also need new cables and was going to order them from Control Cables. What length did you order? I have the part number "814LTT-2" but before I call I sure would like to know how you made out.
    Thanks,
    Steve

    Hi Steve,

The FFR supplied cables are 80" long I ordered 78" so part number is 814LTT-2-78. I think I could have gone with 77 or even 76 but that would depend on how forward or aft in the chassis did you installed your shifter assy. I wanted to make sure they reached so I went the safe way and ordered just 2 inches shorter.

I did take a measurement and I ordered them 77" long. Thanks for the quick reply and help.
