    818 front hubs

I have been dismantling my donor WRX. Looking at videos of the 818, I notice that the front stub axles (outer part of front driveshafts) don't appear to be mounted in the front hubs. If these shafts are not installed in the front hubs (splined shafts inside the hub bearings secured with slaked axle nuts) What is holding the front hub together and securing the front hubs to the wheels?

The front stubs are still being used in the 818s, the front CV joints get disassembled and the outer joint minus all of its internals will get put back into the spindle/hub.

Hey Jim, are the 818 specs going on the site soon, and are we going to be able to get our build books at launch. My kit date is Aug 17th this summer and I am hoping to get the build book soon, Thanks, and see ya soon at the open house

The stubs on the rolling chassis were cut down, this could also be done for a finished car but you have to be careful to be certain of an even cut to keep them in balance.

We are getting closer as far as a detailed parts sheet goes, but for both the final specs and build manual we are building a car right now for the purpose of getting those things done (and ensuring all the production stuff is fitting together well) and that car will be done by open house. The manual will probably be ready a week or two later.
