I'm going to assume the 33 is the same as the Roadster. If so, normal. The entire driveline (engine, trans, driveshaft, diff) is offset to the passenger side. I don't know the exact amount, but in the 1 to 1-1/2 inch range. DD's are typically designed the same way.

its normal... anyone ever do anything with the vent plug? The little plastic plug that is shown in the second picture.

You will need the fitting that goes into the differential, ford has them as two parts.
