About Silversmith
Biography:
I grew up around the real AC's, my 2nd car was a 66 ****** GT 350, paid $1,500 cash in 1973 just outa high school :) I Bought it from my best friends dad who owned over 26 cars. Cobra's, AC's & GT's, Jags, Healeys, 300SEL Gullwings etc. Man what a time we had with those cars :) WE HAD ACCESS TO ALL OF THEM!!! Riding in & sometimes drivig them. Of course Stevie chose the drivers. The badest of them all was a 1966 H & M 427side oiler. I orderd a MKIV kit in mid 2011, and was ready to start the build. But I canceled the order when I found a exacting factory built ERA 427 (CSX3483) S/C with a original built (1966) Holmon Moody Iron block/head 427 side oiler. The only real difference from Stevie's AC (CSX 3116) is the color and the S/C model. To build a MKIV the same as CSX 3116/ ERA- CSX 3483 would cost in access of 100K! I just couldn't pass up that ERA!! Not to mention the owner was really cash strapped.:) :) I am still in hopes that Dave Smith will be offering a FIA/Slabside soon!! I have always been a hotrodder/builder and still hope to build a FFR soon. My other hobby is to sliver plate or chrome assorted products, ie steel, plastic, wood, bone, stone in assorted colors. I hope I can contribute to the forum as you all do. My real name is Sage. Drop me a pvt. msg. if I can be of help :)

It's On Now

Well, I've done it! Orderd a MKIV complete kit. devivery est. 3-3-12. Going street version, undercar exhaust w/electric cut-outs, no scoop, quick install roll bar, for the occasional track romp! Tonnaeu & soft top. No stripes, old english white, just like the 66/427 side oiler I got to play in back in high school. Never got over that car! No side oiler though just don't have the cash! Will most likely go with the new Ford Racing 363cid short block with AFR 205 heads, carburator; and
