Complete Kit Fuel - Gas Tank - return system?

I need a return type fuel system for my Type 65 Coupe. How is this done? Can I just run a line to the vent connector on the fuel tank? Here are some pictures of the Complete Kit:

Here's some pictures of the fuel pickup - there is a pinched-closed tube, which is covered with a black plastic cap. I think that's for an in-tank fuel pump. But there is a strange third line going into the tank, and it is soldered closed to the tank cap - it does not come out of the cap - What is that for? I am not going to use an in-tank pump - an external fuel pump came with my MSD Atomic EFI.

I searched this and the other forum, but did not find much info on this. I hope posters add tags and use key words in their posts to help the search engines find useful posts.

Any suggestions/pictures for implementing a return fuel system with these parts? Or - what do I need to buy?

    Thanks,
    wayne

I believe that the smaller capped line is the return from the pressure regulator.

That's how I know it - the capped off line should be the one you can use for a return. Email [email protected] is you find that to be blocked off.

    Wayne,

The orange rubber plug on the bottom of the return tube is just to keep the fuel from getting turbulent around the pickup, it is split in the middle for fuel to flow and is designed to be a return. If you pull the rubber cap off the line on the top of the tank you can use a pushlock type fitting to hood a return to that line not problem. If you don't use it as a return it would need to be blocked off with a peice of fuel line or a hose nipple.
