Any ideas on a paint scheme? Given the namesake, Red with Yellow/Gold is a must. Maybe red body with wheels matching the color of the STi's gold wheels?

you need 2x4 or 4x4's to support the frame so the body doesn't rub on the ground

Awesome! Let us know what dimensions work for the dolly so we can all make ours and pretend we have cars to put on them!

I mean, where did you put the blocks to hold it up? I want to build a dolly to hold it in the garage while I build it so I can wheel it around as needed too.

I just laid 6 foot 2x6's across the bottom of the trailer and strapped it all down. I will put it up on jack stands and measure some points I guess if it will help...

Yea Erik that will help. The cabin area from firewall to firewall and the frame width would help for a build dolly.

With them stacked up like that you kind of have a scaled down Stewart Transport deal going on there Erik!

LOL, it's not like they didn't have a frame in the show room and another sitting on a dolly in back to figure one out...

would 4 furniture dollies be easy way to unload directly from delivery service to concrete garage floor? I can use fork lift or pull it out with tractor or razor side by side, but imagine just man power enough. I plan to roll it to a 2 post lift & leave it there until done. I could use 4 post lift for all the underpannels etc.. But would rather use 2 post for most of the build. I have metal fabrication tables on wheels or could build cart, but not sure it would have any advantage. I guess I have time to ponder mine is Nov. Del date.

If you use Stewart Transport, they'll put it right on your jack stands for you. They travel with a cart to move the chassis from the back of the truck to your garage. Now, if the truck has to park a long distance away then you might need to make some arrangements.

Indiana likes to have these 4" tall drains on the curb. Wonder if that'll cause problems with their dolley.

I'd let 'em know about the curb and let them make the call. Here's a pic of the dolly sticking out of the back of the truck that delivered my Coupe kit. Those are pneumatic tires.

Sorry for the hijack, Erik. Now, back to the Flash build.

Yea I know, kind of dropped the ball, but if Someone can measure firewall to firewall and the width in this area I would be happy. I could try to call factory five, or take a drive over there, but why when I have my forum friends. Thanks Wayne

Hey Erik, nice to follow your trip!

Maybe it's too early to know, but do the fiberglass panels look pretty well cut? I know on the GTM there's quite some fiberglass work to do, like to make the windows fit, rear window and some other places where 2 panels are close from each other. I don't know if on the 818 at this stage (prehistoric loll) you can see if you'll need some fiberglass work.

The panels looked to be good enough to run just like they are after a clean and buff....having said that...I will not be leaving it "stock"...so we'll see.

The panels looked really good in terms of Fitup on the 818s. I would say you can get away with driving it around and it looks pretty good just buffed. I don't think there will be much figment issues, but we might run into some since it is hand laid and there is a percentage of error. I will be priming and painting my car.

Great, tnx for the input! I'll put some fiberglass on my list of items, just in case. But then again, we'll see the result after a few get their project done.
