Some progress today...didn't really start until noon...slow going getting up to speed and getting my head around to what will be done first.. already looking to modify a few areas...so that slowed things down...

also if you have some aftermarket front a-arm bushings like the whitelines I have...not only do you have to put the left one on the right BUT YOU HAVE TO FLIP THE BUSHING OVER...man I spent 1 hour trying to understand why the A-arm would not fit...

anyway...here is the little progress I made today...really wanted to have the front suspension done....

Nope... Using the inventory list and item description.. I have a few pages of an initial draft.. I wouldn't call it a manual...

The front frame section appears to be bare metal. Can you confirm this? Any idea why?

The front frame will come powdercoated if you order the frame powdercoated, these two front nose support frames were welded after the main frame went to the coaters.

I doubt it is "the item", but I'm curious where the second kit is going. Another build in H'Ville?

Hopefully those are just regular Whiteline replacement bushings? If those are the anti-lift kit bushings then you are likely changing FFRs suspension geometry. I bet that the team did their designing around the OEM geometry bushing.

aftermarket ones add caster iirc, should be easy enough to dial it back out with the upper control arms. I think you'll be ok.

    My other thought!

Are there other than Whiteline those of us that are in the process of preparing our control arm/sway bar/links that could be considered?

They did use OEM bushings, but because I am bolting the bushing to the top of the mount opposed to from under and the thickness of the bushing housing..the delta is minimum if any...worst case the nose will dive a little more than stock..but in speaking with FFR, simply appling thin spacers I can dial in the dive correction if I don't like how the car reacts..

the take away from this .... yes you can use the bushings..it's a non-event in my book...moving on...

Ah, I thought Stewart had yours Wayne.

So, is "the item" what looks like a blue caulk gun in the final pic of post #81? I thought that was Wayne that was teased about including it in his build pics...

My car was not ready for the open house but was on Thursday when Erik loaded. GRM isn't going to be out to the shop until mid July to start building on their car so Erik loaded my car and Stewart is bringing the GRM car in about 10 days. I wanted to get started on my car, am picking it up from Erik tomorrow!!!!!!

Ok this may be a stupid question or the answer is probably somewhere else anyway, but what are you using the caulk for exactly?

With the FFR kits, you put caulk with every seam of the aluminum panels and between the aluminum panels and the frame members. The caulk under the panels acts as a water seal when you put the rivets in and decrease the vibrations.
