I do vacuum forming for RC car bodies. We machine our molds from billet aluminum (overkill). Couple questions:
1. Why do you make a shell around the pattern to pour the silicone mold? Have you tried "brush on" silicone with thickener? I guess the advantage would be that you have your "support" form done already. Downside, you use more silicone?
2. Is Dave doing licensing? I'd love to do a GTM 1/10 RC car body. I know he has CAD files of it, hint hint.
