Description of Setting Picture taken in front of one of the many historic granite rock walls in Trail British Columbia Canada.
Trail has a long and diverse mining history that began with the late 19th century gold rush and continued with construction of a smelter in 1895.
The Rock walls were built by some of the eary settlers to the area that came to work in the mines and smelter. Many of these settlers were Italians.
The Rock walls were all built by hand and dry stacked.
The walls are as straight and plumb today as the days when they were first constructed.
The Picture was taken by a professional photographer....the wall was back lit as was the car and it was taken just before sundown.
