Duh. Having a few Cusco products myself the light bulb should've turned on sooner. Thx.

Congrats, Jerome! It sounds good. I'm assuming the smoke was just oil burning off, right? I'm impressed because you got your 818 many weeks after I got mine but now you're miles ahead. Good work. Okay, okay, I'm headed to the garage this evening . . . to install my new power steering hoses . . . nowhere near a first start.

Thanks! Yes, the smoking is just oil burning off of the turbo, as well as some high temp paint on the exhaust housing.

I think I found your problem, Pete! Granted, yours will be much easier and comfortable to drive when it's ready.

Nice stop at the 1st stop sign. I guess without a plate they can't give you a ticket anyway. loll

Your shifter seems to have a very short throw, am I wrong?

Pretty impressive that every neighbor has a pickup in their driveway.

    Nice work.

How did it come up like that? I love it!
I mean what have you done to make it that way. Shifter, cables, rod, adjustments, etc.

Anyone run into this issue? I have my 5/8" clearance in the front, but when the transmission is in 4th gear, the shift linkage protrudes by ~ 1/2"?

A complete linkage is a longer term item. I was going to redesign the little fork/hanger bit as a start. It's only the way it is so that it can be an inexpensive laser cut/bent piece. I've had a design in my head for some time, just need to actually measure and prototype.

I did not trim mine, I slide the bottom of the rear cover back slightly and the quarters back 6/8-7/8 instead of 5/8, it all seems to line up nicely and my wells look pretty even. I do have to prob put the mesh on the outside though, but it might still clear.

Yeah. "Winter" in AZ makes it all worth it. I was actually in flip flops and cargo shorts last night with my garage door open. My neighbor thought I was crazy, but I wasn't really cold at all.

I definitely am! I haven't even had the car for two months yet... The wheels and tires are:

    Enkei Kojin
    17x8 + 45 Front (with 10mm spacers)
    18x9.5 + 45 Rear (with 13mm spacers)

    Federal 595 RS-R
    235/40/17 Front
    265/35/18 Rear

The fronts rub the corner of the front firewall a little. But, I may have a remedy for that. :-D

    Just looking at that:

    18x9.5 + 45 Rear (with 13mm spacers) on Federal 595 RS-R 265/35/18 Rear

That is extreme, worst than me. loll I "only" got 18x9.5 +35 on 265/35s. So it fits well on yours?

Nice work, Dude! You're making it look easy...
Love the radiator, especially since I run one. Thanks for all the high-quality pics of details.

Guys, Jerome does beautiful work! I stopped by his house on Sunday and admired his nearly-finished 818. Up close it's much better than these photos - shifter, wheels, engine, brakes, seats, body panels, shifter (again), are all beautiful. And, the sound is a very cool deep tone with an equal-length header, though loud without the 3" cat and muffler he will add. It was delivered less than two months ago and he's got a full-time job! Amazing!
    Congrats, Jerome. And thanks!
