We have had a couple of Tesla's at a few events, we don't discriminate.

Do you know if they were able to keep charged with a normal track day time table?
Did they plug into your 50amp RV (12kW) outlets? That is about a 15 HP charge rate.

    Great shot Bob, Merry Christmas
Looks like we will have some mid 60's weather next week and hope to sneak out and burn some laps.

FYI I just got a Radium Fuel Collection box from Wayne, I believe it will help prevent fuel starvation I was having.

Been a while since I posted on this thread.
Our first 818 has been put away for the winter. We remove our summer track tires and installed 205/55R16 on Stock Subaru rims. Picture below.
Some of the plans for this spring are, side impact protection, add aero components and a power bump.

Hey Bob! Welcome back, you're still here, thought you left man, usually you post every day.

Anyway, I was trying to find one of your build the other day and only found the other build, which I posted into.

I wanted to know which build is the one you built like a boat? I think it's the blue.

Then what did you do to prevent water from dripping down from the windshield and into the sides at the front of the doors? There is a small triangle right on the sides of the windshield and underneath is the start of the cockpit. My water drops there and I was trying to find a solution to prevent water from dropping on the sides inside the frame, and as much as possible preventing it from dropping over the battery too.

The blue frame car has a marine compatible electrical system. red frame isn't built yet.

My car is a roadster, so I wasn't worried much about a few drops water in the cockpit.
I left all the slots around the edge of the floor to let any water out. My car has been outside during full blown thunder storms.
There is no issue with your 12v battery getting splashed.

The STI pan holds 5qts, with the designed level is 5 qts with 0.5" of free space in the top.

I will not be running the 2.0 pan low at any time. At idle the pan will be filled to 1/2" below the block. At max pressure the pan will be filled to 1.5" below the block. Witch is the design level for that pan. At steady state 2G's the pick up is covered. With the sloshing taking place, the accusmp will fill the intermittent times when the pick up is uncovered.

If 4 quarts gets stuck in the outside head and only 1 quart in the pan, then I will suck air. But then the accusump will shove another 1.5 quarts into the oil galley and give me another 5-10 seconds of runtime.

I would not run the STI pan over full. One extra quart and the oil would be 1/2" into the block. Add 1.5 quarts (total of 6.5) the oil would be into the crank.

That is why I feel that the STI pan is not compatible with the Accusump.

Bob, when you are talking about this particular 2.0 oil pan, do you mean an oil pan from a 02-05 WRX with a 2.0 engine? Will you/or you using/considering the KillerB 2.0 engine oil pickup or the standard pickup? Thanks!

    A couple of weeks ago:
The fast electric motorcycle part of my paying job was out at Bonneville Salt Fats for speed week.

We did not set any new records as the traction between the salt and our rear tire was less than aero drag.
Kind of scary we the rear tire of a motorcycle breaks loose at over 200 mph.

    See article and datalog below.
    Green is speed,
red is motor RPM direct chain to rear wheel(no transmission),
purple is throttle (motor torque commend)

. As you can see, each time Jim got over 200, the rear wheel would break loose and Jim would have to let off the throttle. Crazy ****.

A bigger air inlet to your radiator would increase the air resistance of the car and reduce top speed. A better question to ask is if the cooling system you have is providing enough cooling to the engine. is your engine running hot?

Today was a good day for our friend Tom O'Gorman. With co-driver Kenton Koch, Tom got his first win in TCR at Virginia International Raceway today. I'm sure some of my fellow auto crossers on here know Tom. Here is a couple of my favorite pictures.

I guess you can shorten the corners if you only use 2 wheels.

I have a potential FFR customer coming by tomorrow to see an 818 in person. I at least had to clean it up. The never waxed or polished raw fiberglass and still shines pretty well.

Yes, its a 3 cylinder, NA, 1000cc, 112hp, 5 speed manual. sequential shifter.
winch, electric power steering, fox 3 way adjustable shocks, light bar.
It's got the radiator in the rear bed to keep it from getting clogged with mud. We are in process of redesigning that.

Wow! That finish looks great, Bob.
We've been slowly at work in our garage. Bought a 2006 WRX for a donor and finally pulled the engine 2 days ago. Maybe we'll get some time to actually post on the forum here...

    Option to remote reservoir

This part should move your master cylinder out enough that you don't need remote reservoir
