    2014 rule changes?

Any idea when the 2014 rules will be published? Any things we need to be heads up about (besides tires)?

NASA has the rules. Waiting on them them to post. No "have to" changes proposed. So tires should be be it if NASA doesn't add anything.

I hope so. Going to 275 would help us out in ither classes, improve in class lap times, all with little cost increase over the 255s.

SO no tire size change? Any hopes of getting that changed before the season starts?

    Another notable item:
11.4 Fuel Delivery System The factory fuel rail must be used. Any make or size of fuel injector may be used provided they fit in the unmodified fuel rail and intake manifold.

275s were proven to be slower than 255s with the RA1s and the old set-up, and from everything I have seen the RR compound is similar if not identical to the RA1 with just a different tread pattern. Most likely the cause of the 255 being faster is that it is a better fit on the 9 inch rims than a 275 and therefore more stable in cornering loads. Not impossible that with the new combination or with the different tire that the results wouldn't be different but with no time to test before the season starts (and I tried to get RRs for Atlanta 2 weeks ago) it makes the most sense to go with what we know works. Allowing both sizes would have just forced everyone to buy more tires until a clear favorite was determined.
