    Rear transverse link mounting question.

I'm working on my rear suspension and came across this problem. The rear transverse link (with the sway bar mount) bolt doesn't thread all the way on the frame end. Because this is the one with the offset washers I was thinking it is likely difficult to source a longer one. I'm contemplating filing/machining down a bit off the outside of the funnel shaped metal bushings. Has anyone else run into this issue? If so, what did you do? One pic shows the lack of threading, the other the bushings I mentioned. I couldn't find this in the suspension forum, and gave up digging through the builds. Thanks!

Looking at it again, it's an aftermarket bolt, I think. The oem offset washers from another wrx are thinner (I grabbed a bucket of spare bolts from a local shop that parts out wrecked cars.). Anyway, the thinner washer gives more bite on the threads, but the cam portion of the bolt (the flats) don't reach the offset washer. I think I need to thin down the bushings.

Yeah, that cam bolt washer is THICK! Is using an OEM bolt an option? You mentioned the shop had a bucket...

Do you need the cam bolt with the adjustable arm?

Ya, I was starting to wonder if I really needed it with the adjustable arm there. I could have just grabbed a longer bolt. As it is, I did machine down the bushings, while coming to that conclusion. Oh well, it's done. The welded frame bracket looks a better fit with the bushing treatment however, so probably for the best. The extra bunch of bolts have already come in quite handy. I'm really glad I thought to ask for them.

    Thanks guys.

    Ajdustable rear lateral links

Ajdustable rear lateral links. I think it was Jim @FFR that told me to set the cam bolt to the inner most position before using the adjustable arms to adjust rear toe.
His theory was that most the force was the arm pushing toward the center of the car. If it was adjusted all the way in, it could not move.
