    ^^^That looks pretty good.

You know if you had to provide clearance in that way then it may be better to just raise the whole bar rather than notching it out. Cut each end of the bar, re-angle it slightly higher and weld it back in place. That provides you the clearance and avoids the weak point.

I think I’ll just go back to eating crayons, lol.

Great idea! Just have to check clearance at the AWIC. Lose a little strength in bringing the braces closer together (shorter I beam equivalent), but I bet less loss of strength than cutting the bar. Inspired idea. Got a little tunnel vision there.

I had a little time left after finishing my rear bumper and still having the welder out, so I tackled the strut tower brace. I Just rerouted the 1” bar on top of the 3/4” bar, surrounding it. I sliced a side off of the 1” bar and tapped it over the 3/4” bar, welding the sliced off side back in place once in position. Then mitered a piece to reconnect.

I was able to get the turbo shield on with this mod as well. I figured the turbo blanket was all I was to hope for, thus all the silicone and shielding covering oil and coolant lines. I lowered the shield about 3/4”, cut a wing out for waste gate clearance, and pounded the dimple on the intercooler rear side a little further forward. That was after altering the shield to accommodate the bellmouth downpipe.

PS: I’m not sure why all the pics are getting rotated.
