US Senator looking to tax collector cars.

Hey guys glad to say this might have been an April fools joke, I heard about this Yesterday and whoever started it went thru a lot of trouble to even create a Newspaper page with the story.

All I can say is I checked it to the best of my ability prior to posting Sorry!!

There is so much wrong with what he's saying. I'd go on a rant, but it's definitely political in nature and would be in need of deletion.

Hmmm, is this going to be an annual property tax of 10% or 10% tax on the increased value of the car? Wouldn't it be cheaper and easier to tax at the time of sale instead of every year? What about years of depreciation, does that become a tax credit? Also, if you are going to tax car appreciation are they going to credit car depreciation?

If this is a joke, it isn't a very smart one. All it takes is one politician to see this and BAM it becomes reality. This story is posted on other sites too.

It's been lighting up internet boards all over! SAAC pulled a great one! And, if you got the entire page, there were some great articles featureing "green" exploits of other prominent SAAC members, and I was one of those. An honor to be spoofed on by Kopec.

You should see how the guys over at the Team $helby forums went nuts!!!!! They bought it hook, line, sinker, warranty, and muffler tip.
FFR MkII, bought 2004, first on the road 2005, wrecked, beaten, man-handled, cut up, butchered, sat on by HOOTERS girls, still barely street legal!

Mostly a track car now, but seen on the street on occasion!
