    top loader for this one

I think it is time to break out one of those old top loaders I have been sitting for the last 20 years.

You have toploaders? I have a friend with at least one 260. He also has at least one 5-bolt 289. What block do your toploaders fit?

I, too, just happen to have a 5-bolt 289 (with bellhousing) sitting around. Hmmmm.

the top loader uses the same bolt pattern as the tremic trans.
so you pick 5 or 6 bolt block.
personally I like 6 bolt blocks since they are the same as current 302 based engines.
If I could find a 289 HIPO I would build that for this project.
how about it anyone know of a real HIPO they want to part with
