Cool For Sale ... Coupe # 031 SOLD!

    For Sale
I am offering my Type 65 FFR Coupe for sale. It is a very well sorted car with many updates to this early coupe (#031). This is a non-donor build, as all the early coupes were, including aluminum radiator, 15 gallon fuel cell, IRS. Ford Racing aluminum center section, 3.73 ratio. Tremec TKO 3550 transmission with .68 overdrive, midshift with Pro 5.0 shifter. Southern Automotive built the 422” Windsor stroker, 770 Holley Street Avenger carb, dynoed at 362 rwhp with the Raptor sidepipes. 17 mpg on the highway, not so much on the track! PSE 17” pin drive wheels with Kumho Ecsta XS tires (275 front, 315 rear). The coupe was painted by Worship One Customs in Charlotte, NC (NCPainter screen name). I have trailered/driven this car all over the USA, including the 2012 Monterey Historics, where I was part of the “Peter Brock Coupe Group”. I have won many local awards but perhaps my favorite was winning “Best Coupe” at the Factory Five Open House in 2014, where the coupe was featured in the FFR showroom. The coupe has 17,800 miles on it. This car was featured in the September issue of Road and Track magazine as part of the Factory Five advertisement.
Reason for selling: I am not tired of this car … it draws huge amounts of attention wherever I take it and it is great fun to drive on the street and the track. I am retiring and looking forward to future FFR projects.
    Upgrades include:
    1. Replaced the lexan hatch with the tempered glass hatch
    2. Rebuilt the front and rear suspension with new control arms
    3. SAI kit
    4. SAI kit was improved with a welded in gusset for strengthening
    5. 4 wheel alignment
    6. Suspension was “corner weighted” … final cross weights were 49.5 and 49.5
    7. Car was scaled … weighs 2,5l7 lbs. with half tank of gas
    8. New A/C compressor and ducting corrected for good airflow
    9. Koni shocks all around, set to full stiff
    10. Gordon Levy Wilwood brakes (6 piston front, 4 piston rear)
    11. Dual CNC Master Cylinder
    12. Drive Shaft Shop heavy duty half shafts for IRS
    13. Raptor Racing polished stainless, re-packable, single muffler sidepipes
    14. Russ Thompson hinged quarter windows
    15. Kirkey Vintage low back seats
    16. Crow Enterprises 5 point harness with cam-lock buckles
    17. Interior is carpeted with Bentley carpet, medium gray
    18. Remotely mounted oil filter with oil cooler mounted in the nose intake
    19. Russ Thompson “pontoon stiffeners”
    20. Russ Thompson stainless “Daytona” script on either side of the hood and one on the instrument panel
    21. Two 12v power points
    22. Quick release steering wheel with the standard wooden wheel for street/show and the leather wrapped FFR wheel for the racetrack

Price is $51,900. Another set of the PSE wheels with white center sections are available as an option, if you wish to mount race tires.
