So you just looking for someone to pick up the kits and container them for you? Are you aware they don't make them in white anymore? I have done this before and may be able to help. However Factory five can and will ship overseas for you.

Hello Mike,
thank you very much for your response, no didnt know they stopped the colour white as there isnt much info available on the sire bar the info on optional extras. It would be getting resprayed anyway plus my kit will be made out of carbon fibre. Just though white would be an easier base colour to start with but no biggy.
Yes im trying to sort out getting 2 kits, but not having much luck at the moment, thought 2 orders might be an attractive order and possibly attract a discount, just waiting to hear back from the firm in regards to this. This is an unusual kit compared to what we have here in the uk, the kits here acn come in modular form so you van pay for the build stage by stage. But with this comping from so far away we need to purchase/send all the gubbins that we need except the donor.

Do factory five themselves have the capabiulity to help out with the logistics with this do you know?

capability, sorry its lunch time here in sunny UK (wales) and im munching my lunch typing one handed

yes they should. they ship overseas all the time.

well im awaiting some more info from the regarding this but I know they are busy sortin out their 20 year aniversary

Not sure what you mean by made out of carbon fiber. I don't think they do that. Have you tried calling Factory Five? There phone support is excellent. A live person will answer all your questions.

as I am based in the UK calls will be expensive, I am the owner of Autoflock Motorsport, we specialise in motorsport composites so I can produce the tooling/composites products easily. I was only going to start on an aero package first as I think the body needs some minor adjustments to the headlights etc.
Would also depend on how the car finally drives too, been contemplating various body options for my current race car which weighs 520kg at the moment, the aero on that is fine for the circuits its used on so not bothering with anything major yet.

Hi Raj, FFR certainly help with packaging and international shipping. I received my RHD 818 kit last June in New Zealand. I know of at least two others sent last year to NZ, and 2 to Australia. I arranged for the optional extra FFR shipping crate - then coordinated my own freight company to collect the box once packed and ready. I suggest you contact FFR directly.

Hello Junty,
thats great to know, yes I have requested the crate and have contacted them directly via their website and had some communications back, but like I say they appear to be very busy with the anniversary, this isnt a problem at all as my collegue and myself are very committed to our current work load, this kit will be purely for fin hence my race car doesnt have any lairy company decals on it, our track action is our only respite from the workshop and customers lol.
Hopefully they can come back with a plan of how to move forward on this, there isnt one of these kits in the UK afaik which is very very apealing. The car of choice on the british track scene is the lotus 7 style kit cars or LMP like mine in the picture but they are sooo highly strung the car spends most of its time on stands.

Hey Raj, you should be very thankful that FFR have worked so hard over the past 18months to reduce the wait times. I originally placed my order (prior to any 818's having been built) in 2012. 6 months later they released the first built car at the open-house, I then had to wait for both my number to come to there front of the list and then to wait for completion of the first RHD chassis... Please don't stress about waiting a few days for FFR to contact you - some of us have waited 18months or more for a kit. But all n all its well worth the wait :-)
-
ha ha, thats fine im in no rush, like I say this kit really has jumped out at us and we really want to build a couple of them. Will leave it a few days then drop them another email stating our exact requirements and see what they can do. Hopefully there should be some welsh 818r build threads on here before the end of the year or at least ordered :-)
Have you got a build thread and have you any critisisms regarding the kits? Any help would be great

I have two complete 818s cars. If you want a completed car while you build the kits I plan to sell one of these. Both will be for sale, which ever does not sell will be the one I keep. Just throwing that out there.

Thank you Kelstar for that very tempting offer, but we are really wanting the bare kits assemble from scratch, I have 2 other projects which are being built one which hopefully will be finished by november allowing the build of an 818. (You have got me thinking though you rotter)

20k will buy you one of the completed cars. Both are low mileage, pro-built cars. I'll even discount it sending it complete without the body if that helps.
