    Custom Door

I finally finished the design of my custom door frame, door hardware and door panels. The hardware is all from a Ford Contour. The frame is one that I made that works with the Contour hardware.

The interior door panels are made up of two pieces. The inside is the one from the Ford Contour which has been adapted to fit my door panel design. The outside one is one that I made from foam and Bondo. The inside one will be covered with the same material as the seats. When I purchased the seats, I got a couple of yards of the seat material just for this design. The outside panel will either be painted black or covered in black vinyl.

The door panel blends into the custom dash.

There are lots of pics and description of the progress on my blog website.
