    R Dashboard mounts

    Hey guys.

As you can see, I mounted my dash and my wind screen.

This involved cutting out the sides of the dash a bit to fit the R roll bars. I'm fairly happy with it, but I was wondering what everyone else has done for securing it? I have the two "stock" mounts (little angled pieces with 1/4-20's in them) and it's not floppy...but could use a little more support.

Considering doing some circle clamps like on the coolant lines over the side roll bars and into the sides of the dash. Any thoughts?

My dash was fiberglass, which in my opinion should be standard for the R so its not floppy at all. I just rivnut'd it in towards the front of the dash, then a couple spots underneath.
You could try industrial velcro. Don't go small, go big with it. That would provide alot of support and would be easy to remove.
    Thanks- Chad

Where did you get a fiberglass dash? That's awesome.

Tamra suggested velcro in her thread I believe. I planned on grabbing some industrial stuff from Amazon and doing just that! Thanks for the suggestion, Chad.
