I placed my engine compartment fuse box in front above the battery. It made more sense to run the alternator wires to the rear than extending the lights, horn, fan, and misc. to the front. I havent finished the balance of the wiring and I could be surprised by some unknown issue.

I don't have pics right now. Mine is a little under my e brake handle, between my e brake handle and shifter. With some trimming, it fit in the transmission tunnel. I figure'd it'd be cool to make the tunnel aluminum have a removable plate so you could access the fuses from the driver's seat.

It was a giant pain in the *** to do that way, though. I had to extend a bunch of wires.

Mine went under the center of the dash and in front of the battery. I did not bother extending the alternator wires, I just wired to the starter.

I put mine at the front of the tunnel right behind the firewall.
I only had to extend a few wires to the front headlights, and a few to the back taillights plus the lines to the alternator.
    All else fit pretty well....
see post 91 in my thread.

    Here is mine:
on the passenger side above feet. I can drop it down to get to the back of it. All the wires are factory colors. All fuses are the same as factory, just repackaged.

My cabin fuse box is in the center tunnel just under the dash. I have a panel secured with thumbscrews to get access to it. The engine compartment fuse and relay box is above my gas tank on the driver's side.
