    Bill-

She is looking really sharp; I like the color, and really like the accent stripe!

You must be pretty excited to have her almost finished. It's time to see some more cockpit videos.

Thanks for sharing the latest updates, and I look forward to seeing her graduation post!

    Regards,

    Steve

The guys got the glass in the front and rear window this week. They are also finalizing the electronic window hookup. The roof isn't bolted down and there is no weather stripping in it yet.

Getting down to the final tweaks on the hood fitment as well. I really like the way the split side skirts came out. Here are some shots of the hood hinges.

I am really pleased with the door latches. I had originally went with the pull posts. The guys at 121 convinced me the cable pulled latches and exterior hands would be the way to go. I am very pleased with the look and feel of the one that they have installed thus far. They have not done the final alignment on the doors or bolt down of the roof yet but the entire mechanism works very smoothly. Also the engine is cleaned up now and the firewall cleaned off so things are really starting to pop. Finally we are down to a few nuts and bolts left. I cannot tell what was due to contamination and what was actually left over. The guys also added a opener switch for interior lighting.

Really moving fast now. Got to sit inside today and was very pleased with the overall feel from the driver's seat. Abel worked on spacers to hold the lights against the inner steel bracket and stiffen the piece of the side skirts that remain in place. He also aligned the nose cone and installed the wiper blade for effect.

Got another couple of pictures of the door latch pull and took some shots around the inside with the roof on.

Very interesting project at the shop. Kory has a 1928 Chevrolet Dump Truck. This truck spent its life in the Gold Fields in California. It has a 6 cylinder in it and the hydraulic dump bed works. Kory has a 2.5 4 cylinder to get it back to original, and they are missing a door. looks like an exciting project.

Tell them to put it on a white plastic and shake and clean it off onto the blanket, there may be some gold left over thats stuck in the cracks of the truck!!!!

Kory picked up an "Old Air" HVAC Under Dash Unit at MSRA Back to the Fifties. Really fits well with the console. This has heating and cooling. We most likely will not complete the installation until we do the LS swap.

Unless you see it in person, words don't describe it. We took it to the upholstery shop today to have a final look at the material against the car and resolve any potential issues. We are using Leo's Upholstery in McKinney.

I know I am putting this out of sequence but can you tell me what brand wiper arm and wiper you used? I have a marine wiper kit which has the same motor as you however the wiper arm is straight and to have this installed properly it really should have a kon or jog in it to be able to sit up high when parked. If you can tell what you used it would be appreciated. I am waiting to purchase anything until I return from the Syracuse Nationals in a couple weeks, they may have something there. TY!!

Today they got the door panels on, started the trunk, pulled the old carpet and dynamited the aluminum floor. They also got the headliner finished and most of the console lid. Only waiting on the carpet now.
