They are going back together with the car and today took a few moments to pull the Radiator and Front Grill. Sent the radiator down to the radiator shop to get flushed, tested and if necessary repaired. The cooling system would not maintain a full volume of coolant, indicating there may well have been a pinhole.

Got the radiator back, cap was bad. So I took the shroud off and polished on it some. Got a lot of work to do on it. Also trying some stainless steel on the side panel covers inside.

So they continue to put her back together. Did an amazing cleanup job on the radiator and the grill.

So my youngest daughter made me a couple of Shirts with the Car on it. I thought she did a great job. That is not airbrush, it is a photographic process that converts the artwork to gas which imprints the fabric.

LOL I remember going over to friends of my Dad's who had a TV and we watched Fritz Von Erich wrestle. On the bright side my grandson has the bug.

Got looking at the trunk and trying to figure out how to carry stuff in it without all the rattling around. We went out and got some Kaisen Foam, padded the bed with heat barrier and cut the foam to go in. I can develop several trays, one for tools, one for road trips, one for glass mason jars etc.

Thats a cool idea... Is he building the guitar or just the art work? I know a guy here in town that can build it for you if you want.

He builds them. Primarily in the Austin area for the metal guys out in Dripping Springs. He normally does Bass Guitars but is doing this for me

Someone asked me once about the electrical connectors we used for the wipers in the top.

Prolly going to have to get another car to build to continue to have something to post. Shop is doing the final buffing and the car should be home soon. Registered for the Texas GoodGuys in March. They ran it for an hour at idle today with the hood buttoned up. Temps held steady.

Beautiful car Bill! Can't say enough about the job you and Kory's team have done! Lucky for me, I'll be taking your spot at his shop next weekend!

I understand they have made quite a bit more room in the cockpits. I still liked the idea of a Vicky. You should come with me to the shop sometime and see some of the cars they have

Just to keep my record complete, I pulled the trigger on a Coverking cover. They provided some of the covers to FFR for the SEMA show. I chose the satin stretch for indoor protection from dust and hopefully dings. I liked them because they actually offered a FFR 33 Hot Rod variant of the cover, and for the specific cover I chose they had an extensive set of color options. I looked at three free swatches they sent and ordered the British Racing Green.

So I learned today that they will not complete the cover until the 27th which is when they expect to ship it. Ordered it on the 9th so the turnaround is about 18-19 days plus shipping. Since they were apparently just starting to work on it after a week I asked if I could get some embroidery and the response was no, I should have selected the option on their site. I have been back and looked several times but cannot find such an option. I guess I am getting nervous about these guys. I think the embroidery is no big deal, the guy that did my upholstery can do a world class job and I already know the quality of his work. I will post up when it gets here but looks like that is going to be a while.
