Anyone know how, or even, what the easiest way to resize photos. To use them for avatars and the such where they need to be a certain pixel or file size to use.
I figured I would ask since I am not the most computer savy guy.
Thanks in advance,
Todd

Todd, If you're using photobucket (it's easy and free) there is an option to edit photos. One of the options under edit is to resize. You can custom size things or just used the "tiny, small, medium, large"
if you need further help, or use something other than photobucket, post it up and I'll see if I can help
so you can post different sizes
normal
med
small
my avatar is tiny
you can go bigger too. . . .

I saved my picture to another folder (not to loose original size). I then right clicked on the picture and selected "open with" the selected "paint". Mine had a 're-size" icon.

Thanks guys that will work fine. I don't use Photobucket but have checked and can do the resize with my paint program also.

Todd,
If you're using Windows XP, you can download add-ons called PowerToys from Microsoft. One is a picture resizer. After it's installed, just right click on the picture file and you get a "resize picture" option on the list. Then just follow along. HINT: by default it will resize and create a new filename. There's an option to resize the original.
