    Question 351w oil pan requirements?

What are my choices for a stock oil pan used on a 351w sbf in the 33 with power steering. The book says to use a 302 but negelects to mention which one of the 300 available pans are needed. Is just a rear sump or what? Thanks for ending my confusion.

Hi Tom, one option is the Ford 351w swap pan for a fox body Mustang (FMS-M-6675-A58). Using this pan and reclocking the power steering will allow everything to line up. I just did this same swap recently.

I don't know which "book" said to use a 302 pan on a 351, but they are not interchangeable. One of the most noticeable differences is the rear seal radius being much larger on a 351 due to the 3" bearing diameter.
