I had cabin fever from the rains and "sheltering in place" from this COVID-19 craziness. Decided to go for a cruise and test my new camera. But don't worry, I practiced "Social Distancing." The photos were taken on a gloomy evening after the rains in the "Delta" in the Sacramento area. Nikon Z7 with Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8

Countryside in front of my rural home on a spring day with greening trees and grasses contrasting the medium blue Cobra. Pic taken with iphone from a distance and zoomed as I liked the reflection on the car side and the shadows at the top of the deep dish Ultra wheels. She is running like a CHAMP after the first carb rebuild since new construction in 1996 - ready for many social distance runs in 2020.

This picture was taken in my home town of Gorham Maine on Hurricane rd. This is a historical New England Bridge called Babbs covered bridge.
It was taken at noon no filters or effects were used and the car was dirty although it doesn’t show.
Had to be quick as this is a one lane traffic bridge so little time to mess around, park-point- and shoot!

I stopped at Estes Lake at about 10 AM on my drive through the Rocky Mountains to take these pictures. A Snow storm was coming that night so the clouds were perfect! I took my good camera on the trip, but these were done with my iPhone 11, as I was not wanting to hang around too long. I knew I had two high passes to traverse before the storm came in.

At the airport, it had just finished raining. The photos were taken about 2 PM, Central Time.

My car was selected to appear on the cover of a local hot rod magazine. The magazine had asked for some suggestions as to a location for the shoot. Given the theme of the car, I reached out to the Star in Frisco, Texas - Dallas Cowboys Headquarters & Training Facility. After a few weeks of communication back and forth with their Operations Team, they allowed us to come out and do the shoot on location at the Star. The day of the photo shoot was the actual day that most of the US implemented the COVID-19 shut down. The area you see is a scaled down field that the organization holds different events in. The field is open to the public, however they typically don't let you drive your vehicles up on to the area surrounding it. I have also added a pic of the car with the top removed that was taken just down the road from our house.

Photos by Grant Hodgkins, shot in HDR at the 2013 LA Arboritum "Serpents In The Garden" show with a Nikon D50 and a post-production technique called "tone mapping" - which combines multiple photos taken over an interval of several seconds into one photo, thus explaining the "oil paint" look.

FF5211K Mark 2 with upgrades. Trunk hinges removed, hood hinges added. 425HP with IRS rear end. 15 year old kit never touched until I bought a year ago and competed it. Color is Monarch Orange.

5212RD Mark 3. Ford 5.0 built with Mustang donor. Color is Salsa Red.

I'd like to submit my pal Heath's MK-4 along with my Dark Side Ride.

Heath's traditional MK-4 is powered by a healthy 351 Windsor in front of a TKO 5-Speed.
The car sports power steering and a 3-Link Moser 8.8.

My ride is the one and only Redbone, the MK-4 that only a Chevy guy would like.
Redbone has a Dart 383 SBC in front of a ZF 6S-40 6-Speed and transfers the power to the pavement via a 3-Link Moser Dana 44 rear.

Picture was taken at my detailer right after he was finished his polishing and application of CQuartz Finest Professional Ceramic Coating. I had painted the car with House of Kolor Jet Black Base and Show Klear, sanded the Klear to 5000 grit after which my detailer went to town to polish it. All exterior and interior including the dash, interior doors etc... were sanded and polished at various stages. The picture is taken directly outside of his shop just prior to loading it in my trailer to bring home.
