    Black Mamba 2016

So starting the year off right I think....this year should be an all out year for the Mamba (if everything pans out)..... starting up slow... Day before yesterday.... first real night drive....worked late...so 18 mile night recovery from work...drove so nice and the spring night was really nice...car running smooth, webers just howling .... had to go home though cause I got hungry.... the car runs so nice and smooth... nice balance between comfort and performance. So pictures to show it aint just a trailer show car...

And then 2 days later....another milestone...and it happened in the RAIN! on the way home from work (drove it all week)....dare I say I am the highest mileage 289 FIA Factory Five out there?? lol

and the last 3 miles in the rain ...

Very nice Erik! Inspiration for my build. I used to love night drives in my '66 Mustang convertible.

I'm really, really getting the urge to build an FIA. You and the other Erik are to blame

Are only guys named "Erik" allowed to build the 289 car?? I really want to do one if it's ok with the "Eriks" ... well, first I need to do another coupe!

    Glad you're enjoying Erik

I came very close to ordering the FIA car a couple months ago and had the whole 331 with weber setup planned out then bought a BMW instead. Lol I'll have FFR8442 done in about a month and enjoy having just one roadster for awhile.

So Erik, are you planning on keeping this one, or do you have another project on the horizon?

Well....not sure how long I can hold out...lol....as much as I LOVE how this car rides and drives... the experience of building and creating these things is surely tugging on me (I do park it with a 4sale card on it) .... I do have a "plan", if this one leaves this summer...not sure how to top this one....but that is part of the fun and I think me and Wayne have yet another plan....I guess we'll have to wait and see....

Be ready to do a ton of wheel cleaning. They dust terribly but they do work.
